Visual Design
Cover Visions is a personal exploration into the intersection of music and visual identity. This project began as a response to the generic and uninspired art prevalent on digital streaming platforms, aiming to give playlists a distinct physical feel in a digital world. The goal was to create a unified design system that could scale across wildly different genres, from the grit of Desi Hip Hop to the cinematic nostalgia of Bollywood, without losing its edge.

(Overview)
Most digital art today feels too smooth and predictable. It blends into the background instead of standing out. I wanted to create something with more "grit" that feels connected to music culture. The challenge was making a system that looks consistent but still lets each musical genre have its own unique personality.

Instead of using smooth colors, I used a dithered look, a style that uses tiny dots and pixels to create depth and texture.
Texture
By using a limited color palette and heavy grunge patterns, I gave the covers a raw, underground feel that reminds you of distressed street posters or industrial textures.

Clear Visuals
Each cover uses one strong image in the center so you know exactly what the vibe is at a glance.

Bold Typography
I used strong, clean fonts to make sure the names of the playlists are easy to read against the busy textures.
